Allan H. Fergus, MD received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, VA. Following medical school, he completed both his General Surgery Internship and Neurosurgical Residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY.

Dr. Fergus has been in practice for more than 20 years and he is board certified in Neurological Surgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.

Prior to joining UHC Neurosurgery, Spine, and Pain Center, Dr. Fergus practiced Neurosurgery at Virginia Brain and Spine Center in Winchester, VA, where he served as president. His neurosurgical concentration is Cortical Mapping and resection, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, minimally invasive and complex spine including ALIF, XLIF, PLIF, artificial disc replacement, Trauma, Intraoperative monitoring, and Intraoperative spinal navigation.
